Pirate King and His Wings – and a Queen?

The color spread this week is just the best!
When they’re drawn side by side like this, it makes me happy to realize, “Luffy’s crew is now standing shoulder to shoulder with the legendary pirate crew!?”
Since Luffy is the future Pirate King, it makes sense that he shares many traits with Roger. For example…
- The same straw hat
- Saying that same phrase
- Even Gan Fall from Skypiea said, “You’re like Roger.”
- The ability to hear the Voice of All Things
But, what struck me most: in that one panel with Gaban five chapters ago, we saw that Roger’s two wings were always competing with each other.
Just like Zoro and Sanji.

So then, who corresponds to the position of Nami, drawn in the center this time, in that legendary generation?
Is that what this chapter title is pointing to?
As always, maybe reading the main story will tell us what the title and cover page mean.
The Empress of Amazon Lily

Amazon Lily.
Peerless beauty.
Lose your strength when your name is called.
Of course, that’s Hancock.
But since Hancock is a Devil Fruit user, her beauty is at least partly enhanced by the power of the Mero Mero no Mi. (Just like Alvida became beautiful thanks to the Sube Sube no Mi.)
On the other hand, Shakky is a non-Devil Fruit user.
Her beauty was 100% natural. No correction, no magic.
She was pure, born that way—the true No.1. Almost like Komurasaki (Hiyori).

And if we compare Hiyori and Shakky, these two natural beauties:
- Shakky → winks at Rayleigh
- Hiyori → sleeps beside Zoro
In other words, both show interest in the Pirate King’s right-hand man—the stoic type.
In the end, Shakky got Rayleigh. So Hiyori will surely get Zoro.
Momonosuke would welcome that, and Zoro is of the Shimotsuki bloodline—a daimyo lineage. As a match for the Kozuki daughter, it couldn’t be more perfect.
So, Shakky = Hiyori’s position.
A natural beauty paired with the Pirate King’s right-hand man.

Then who corresponds to Nami in the legendary generation?
Could it be Rouge, who bore the Pirate King’s child?
If so, maybe Nami’s real name includes a “D”…
Attacks from Women Are Never Blocked with Haki
Because if you block with Armament Haki, the woman attacking would take damage herself. That means, when it’s a beautiful woman attacking, you’d have to take it with no guard. An unwinnable battle.
This theme already appeared in Black Maria vs. Sanji.

And actually—when Robin came to save him afterward through the loudspeaker call, she called him “Sanji” directly by name for the very first time. That’s why Sanji was so shocked with an “Eh!?”

I re-read the manga carefully and confirmed it. 100% true.
So why didn’t Robin call him by name until Wano?
Why suddenly then?
I once thought deeply about it and even posted my theory on X. Please check it out later if you’re curious ↓
The Truth Behind the God Valley Incident

Rocks, aiming to be King of the World, sought two Devil Fruits.
One of them was:
- “Most likely in Elbaf”
- “Only shows its true power if Harald eats it”
So, the bigger the eater, the more powerful the ability.
Which means it was correct for Loki—Harald’s size—to eat it.
The other fruit, Rocks actually obtained.
Rereading the God Valley arc, you can spot it:
- Garp and Kong’s conversation reveals: the “thing” Rocks got was known as the treasure of Pirate Island.
- Garp says: “Of course they’d try to get it back.”
So:
The Marines, or maybe the Holy Knights, stole it from Hachinosu.
↓

The Celestial Dragons made it the prize for the Human Hunting Games at God Valley.
↓
Ginny, a master of wiretapping and communication, leaked the info to lure pirates in—creating the chaos she needed to escape slavery.
↓

Rocks’ crew came to God Valley to reclaim it.
↓
Roger, also waiting for that treasure, caught Ginny’s leak and joined the raid.
↓

In the chaos, Ginny stole the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. Kuma ate it and escaped.
↓
Roger “won” Shanks from inside a treasure chest.
But what was that Devil Fruit? Who got it?
It wasn’t Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Azure Dragon—that one was just a side bonus.
Was it the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi? Or something else?
If we knew that, the whole mystery would advance further.
Does Loki Have Conqueror’s Haki?

Loki ate the fruit that needed Harald’s body to show its true power.
He’s Harald-sized.
He has horns.
He has insane strength.
So yes, he should be able to unleash its full power. He’s the heir.
But does he also inherit Conqueror’s Haki? Not confirmed yet.
In Chapter 1152, his words and effects with “Ragnir” made me think there’s about a 30% chance.
Now that Harald has been confirmed as a Conqueror’s Haki user, and with Loki painted as his successor, the odds are up to about 50%.
But honestly, it’s getting saturated. Even Yamato has it.
If Sanji ends up not having it, that’d just be tragic. Please let him awaken soon.
Rocks Pirates, Continued

Finally, Silver Axe appears!
Rival to Golden Lion Shiki—dangerous and fierce. Looks insanely strong!
In kimono, with yakuza vibes—maybe he’s from Wano?
The tattoos look suspiciously like Ryokugyu’s.
Actually, the lips and nose too… Could they be related? Parent and child?

But if Ryokugyu’s roots are Wano, could he really say, “Non-member nations have no human rights”?

Then there’s the catfish fishman, Barbell.
Fishman → Fishman Karate.
Karate fighter, spiky hair, giant bead necklace…

That’s Gouki (Akuma) from Street Fighter!
Oda-sensei even drew a color spread with Street Fighter characters. No doubt, Barbell’s model is Akuma.

The Heir of the Demon

Another intriguing one in Roger’s crew: Barrel.
Since Shiki made the jump from movie boss to main story, it’s possible.
Why was he called “Heir of the Demon” over Rayleigh, Gaban, even Shanks?
Hopefully the manga will show us someday…
Wait—maybe we’ve already seen him?

That’s it for now. Until next week.
