The Giant Children’s Names
Like the children at Punk Hazard — Mocha, Sind, and the others — I compiled a quick summary so it’s easier to match faces with names.
The child of Gaban and Ripley is Coron. Already giving off the aura of someone who will carry Elbaf’s future — as the child of a Roger Pirates member. If Ace had lived, I wonder if he and Coron would have sailed together: Roger’s child and Gaban’s child.
The child who nearly got devoured by Jormungandr is Aegir — the cheeky kid who was triumphant in Gerz’s arms. Could this one grow up to be one of the two wings supporting Coron?
The girl at the head of the line of children is Ilva. She is the great-great-grandchild of Yarlu — counting Yarlu as the first generation, Ilva is the fifth. Will she grow up to fill Gerz’s position?
Since Saul called the names in order from the front of the sleepwalking line, the second child — the one with goggles — would be Mag. This is the child who was made to cry alongside Aegir on Luffy’s “Demon Swing,” and who drew Nika as their “scariest thing.” Paired with Aegir, perhaps they’ll grow up to share one of the two wings.
If going by the third position from the front, the boy in gloves is Ronya. The one who drew “Draugr” as their scariest thing. Draugr is an undead-type monster — likely the same one that knocked down the firefighter Sval. As “fire” undead, it makes sense it would be instinctively hostile toward firefighters — elemental matchup: fire vs. water.
The Ryu-Ryu Fruit
My analysis of Saint Kilingam’s ability was correct, but the Devil Fruit name was different. Unexpectedly, the Ryu-Ryu Fruit — Mythical Zoan Qilin — being classified as a dragon is the same as in Monster Hunter. Kaido’s Azure Dragon is the Fish-Fish Fruit, and the Qilin is the Ryu-Ryu Fruit… I never get the Devil Fruit names right. Incidentally, the Ryu-Ryu Fruit already appeared as an Ancient Species type in Wano.
Is Loki a Rumble-Rumble Fruit User?
Despite saying predictions are difficult, I can’t help making another one. I considered whether the lightning strikes and electrocution upon touch were Ragnil’s traits, but I think they must be a Devil Fruit ability.
I checked whether Loki’s bounty of 2.6 billion could be wordplay for his ability, but nothing fit. However, from Hyrdlin’s line this week — “touching him causes electrocution” — I can only think of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. Reading “26” as “bi-ri” (rumble) doesn’t seem too unreasonable — there are analysis YouTubers who always make forced wordplay work, so it should be forgivable.
That would also give meaning to why Hyrdlin’s skeleton was depicted before: in manga, showing a skeleton typically represents electrocution. Hyrdlin — who has already shown his skeleton to readers — is ready for an electrocution scene at any time. In other words, someone who can electrocute is close to him — his brother Loki has the Rumble-Rumble (2626) Fruit.
Water Seven–Enies Lobby Self-Homage
Saint Sommers turned out to be a Thorn ability user. Thorns immediately call to mind Kalifa. Kalifa is known as the “sexy secretary” — and Sommers fits that same archetype. Draw your own conclusions.
Is Chopper’s Re-Awakening Near?
In the Enies Lobby arc, Kalifa’s most memorable moment involves Chopper going out of control. With a homage this carefully constructed through Water Seven and Enies Lobby, the day Chopper’s true power is revealed may be drawing near — as I’ve been hoping for!
