Prototype Specifications
The capabilities of the prototype Pacifista, built on Bartholomew Kuma’s body, are:
- Body with hardness exceeding steel
- Laser cannons on palms and mouth capable of melting metal
- Combat ability equal to Bartholomew Kuma
- Facial recognition that identifies pirates by name and bounty, and prevents attacks on allied Navy members
- Only “PX-0” has the additional Nikyu Nikyu no Mi ability
Sanji kicked Kuma’s jaw and was in serious pain — just like Bobby of the Funk Brothers, Kuma’s raw body appears to have “hardness exceeding steel.”
That is precisely why Vegapunk chose him as the base.
※ The Funk Brothers, from the Mogalo Kingdom.
“Hey Bobby, am I really that short?! Huh?!”
“No way, Big Bro is a big man.”
“Mogalo” means “big man” in Greek.
The Base Human Is a Clone of Kuma
After defeating PX-4:
“Are they twins… or was it more natural to assume they modified someone who looks exactly like him?”
“No matter what, they can’t actually create a ‘human’…!!”
Frankie said this while Sanji had already spotted the “PX-4” marking.
Sanji then learned from the quadruplet-clone cyborg brothers (the 4th son being PX-4) that
“humans can be created” — single-handedly resolving all of Frankie’s foreshadowing himself.
This solves the mystery of multiple Pacifistas all wearing Kuma’s form.
Vegapunk discovered the “Lineage Factor” that cloning is based on. His former research partner Judge used that data to develop cloning technology.
Which means — if Judge can do it, Team Vegapunk certainly can too.
In other words, it’s confirmed: the base for the Pacifistas are cloned humans modeled on Bartholomew Kuma.
Weaknesses of the Prototype
- Cost of a single battleship to produce just one unit
- Human base means it bleeds and gets injured, requiring treatment and repair
- Large size makes it extremely difficult to retrieve when damaged (presumably very heavy)
- Limited to a single pattern of combat
The new model is designed to overcome all of these weaknesses.
New Pacifista — The Seraphim
The new Pacifista “Seraphim” debuted in Chapter 1059.
Their characteristics:
- Bases are child-sized versions of the world’s greatest swordsman and the most beautiful woman in the world
- Carry Lunarian physical traits (white hair, dark skin, black wings, fire)
- Completely impervious to any attack — not a scratch
- Laser in the palm
- The swordsman type can fire enormous slashes
- The beauty type has star-shaped pupils
In short, this model overcomes all the weaknesses listed above:
- Small size = easy to transport
- Self-repair function
- Diverse attack patterns
- Indestructible = cost-effective
The ultimate human weapon.
The one risk factor is “the possibility of them awakening self-awareness and refusing orders.”
When that happens, Luffy — the Warrior of Liberation — will probably give them the freedom to live as true humans.
Dragon Ball Homages
Since the Wano arc, Dragon Ball references have been coming thick and fast.
For example, Kaido and Shenron:
Luffy awakening as Nika, and
Goku awakening as a Super Saiyan:
With that in mind, this new male-female pair of artificial humans may mirror Android 17 and Android 18 from Dragon Ball.
The prototype Kuma resembles Android 16,
and Android 17/18 (the Seraphim pair) were activated after defeating 16.
Going further, Queen bears a resemblance to Androids 19 and 20.
And as a bonus:
Could Ryokugyu end up absorbing the Pacifistas and achieving his perfect form, just like Cell?
And on that note, we’ll wrap things up for today. Thank you!
