Gunko’s True Age

The current flashback places the story here in the timeline:
- 63 years ago: Loki is born; Big Mom kills Yoruru
- 56 years ago: Loki is force-fed garbage by his maternal uncles
- (During this period: Rocks breaks into the Flower Room; Harald meets someone at Mariejois)
- 48 years ago: Loki turns 15 (equivalent to age 5 in human years); Rocks and Loki first meet — current point in the story
The figure in the Flower Room who appears to be Gunko has been attending to Im since at least 50 years ago.
Based on her childhood memories, she met Brook — back when he was still a royal knight — which would be roughly 60–70 years ago.
If Im’s ability stopped her aging at around age 23, her actual age would be somewhere between 70 and 80.
Rocks’ Lineage

“I will return… here.”
Reading that line at face value:
- Imu is the side that invaded the Sacred Land of Mariejois
- Rocks is the side that was robbed
This suggests Mariejois was originally land that Rocks was supposed to claim.

The one who told Whitebeard about the “Holy Land above the Red Line” was likely Rocks.
Is the Holy Land the same as “a certain great kingdom” — or are they different things?
Was Rocks descended from the royal line of the Holy Land? A descendant of the gods?
Saint Saturn: “I didn’t expect the powerhouses of Level 6 to submit to anyone.”
Devon: “Teach is special.”
Saturn: “His bloodline too.”

Could Rocks be a descendant of the royal family from when Mariejois was still called the Holy Land? And Teach, as his son, a prince of that pure bloodline?
It fits — on Elbaf too, Loki is described as “pure blood” and Hild-in as “tainted blood.”
The D Clan
Does that mean every person with “D” in their name is a descendant of the Holy Land’s royal family? I don’t think so.
Just as Nefertari D. Lily added the “D” partway through her name as a statement of intent, I think others carved the mark of rebellion into their names as a deliberate act — the way the Kozuki used the reverse crescent moon, or the left-arm mark in the Alabasta arc.

So it seems Teach alone carries that truly special bloodline — the surviving thread of a royal lineage thought to be lost.
Oden Arc Homage

Harald engulfed in flames, running through Mariejois.
To ignite a body that massive, ordinary weapons and cannons would lack the firepower — so the attacker was almost certainly a Devil Fruit user. Probably a Mera Mera no Mi user.
And it is clearly an Oden homage.

Rocks and Roger
Rocks and Harald’s first meeting: they unleash their full Haki against each other on sight, and the shockwave blows away everyone within a 5 km radius. That’s roughly the distance from Shinjuku Station to Shibuya Station.

And then launching a second wave of that magnitude directly at a populated area — the casualties from that alone must have been staggering.
Rocks’ swordsmanship looks remarkably similar to Roger’s. And the path both of them took after clashing with a stranger is identical:

Share a drink or a meal. Declare the ambition to become the greatest in the world. Recruit by saying “I need your strength.”
In Roger’s case, it wasn’t a direct invitation but a request to borrow Oden — who could read Poneglyphs — but that is close enough.
Rocks Is Buggy’s Father

Rocks’ Wanted poster looked remarkably like Buggy’s when Buggy became a Yonko. The parent-child connection can be considered confirmed.

So Buggy’s red nose came from his mother… Well, Bege loved Chiffon too, and the great pirates fall for personality over looks. The same logic probably applies to whoever Buggy’s mother is.
Beyond the Wanted posters, other parallels between Rocks and Buggy:
Rocks raiding a warship and taking it — exactly like Buggy during the Impel Down breakout.
And neither of them is really treated as captain by their crewmates.
Buggy awakening Conqueror’s Haki at Rocks’ level to become truly powerful is now a real possibility.
The Rocks Pirates
The early Rocks Pirates acquired through Davy Back Fight have been revealed for the first time. Miss Buckin is among them — which means MADS also competed in the game?

Out of all the options, Rocks picked Miss Buckin. He had good taste.

Shiki clearly has Wano roots. But Wano was a closed country — no one should have been able to leave. Unless Shiki was on the ship that founded Shimotsuki Village?
Marlon’s original affiliation is unclear, but skeletal structure suggests he might be Gotti’s father.
Whitebeard’s beard is already full, so considerable time has passed since this moment.
Wang Zhi’s epithet is “Pirate Founder.” That means Wang Zhi was the captain and his crew were his congregation. Rocks poaching a founder like that is ruthless recruitment.
The Rocks Pirates’ Latter Half

Gansui the smuggler pirate — the name is probably taken from Gonzui, a type of eel-like fish, suggesting he is a fishman.
If he is someone’s father, Jack seems like a candidate — fishman connection.
